Reflection on bullying
Well, bullying is of course a bad thing. I’m sure you have heard of this word “big bully”. Would you want to meet them? Often, there are bullies in school, neighbourhoods, or even the streets.
In school, more cases happen more in secondary school and normally involved the upper secondary. Upper secondary students would often bully their juniors thinking that they are of a higher rank. Sometimes is because of their attitude and family backgrounds. Sometimes their parents are gangsters and the students just get influence. I feel that parents should set good example in order to let their child be a better person in the society.
In neighbourhoods, it is common to see gangsters approaching students for their valuables such as cell phone and wallets. If the students are not controlled young they many be big bullies in the future. Most people would not dare to rebel against the bullies because they are scared of the dangers. Most gangsters know how to fight thus if we rebel against them they might harm us.
In the streets, you are just curious and stare at a person. They might think you are not happy with them and they will bash you up. In the streets there are many onlookers but only a few would help because Singaporeans had getting into trouble.
Some people would dare to tell their parents or teachers, families’ or police. They would want to face the problem themselves and suffer alone. They might think is very embarrassing. But do they know that if they don’t tell anyone about it, they are harming themselves. Who knows the bully might come again?
I think parents play a very important role in bullying. If they did not pay attention to the child they might not realise the attitude change in the child. Most parents are not aware that their children are bullies; they are too busy for work and no time for their child. Earning money is important but their child should come before money! Parents’ should spend more time with their child in order to know their change in attitude. The friends around them might influence the also so we students should not mix around with people who are bullies and join their gang.
Bullies at older age will be jailed.
All in all, we should avoid bully as much as possible.
